João began his studies in music at Escola Profissional de Música de Almada, where he studied classical piano and new music technologies. Later on he joins Escola de Jazz Luiz Villas-Boas in Lisboa, where he studied harmony and jazz piano. He finished his degree in Electronic Music and Musical Production in 2011 at Escola Superior de Artes Aplicadas (ESART) in Castelo Branco, Portugal. In 2014 he completes his master in Multimedia - Interactive Music and Sound Design at Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto (FEUP), Portugal.
Nowadays he’s working as a freelancer in sound, music and education. Whether in music composition or sound design for theater, installations, dance and books, as well as commissioned work. His scope also includes sound for documentaries and post-production for media. Regarding education, he also creates workshops about electronic music for beginners, music composition and sound synthesis.
